O'Neill, Sr., Charles Arthur "Chuck" 72, of Treasure Island, went home to our Father on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Bay Pines VA Hospital, Bay Pines, FL. Born in Lackawanna, NY, he came to Treasure Island in 2003 from Buffalo, NY. He retired in 1978 having attained the rank of First Sergeant, United States Army. Chuck enjoyed traveling, playing Scrabble, cards and crossword puzzles. He was an active member of St. Justin Martyr RC Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. O'Neill and Mary M. O'Neill nee Gordon. He is survived by his wife and lifelong friend Patricia (Tricia) Ann Tremonte, Treasure Island, FL; daughter, Colleen (Ken) Hoose, ME; son, Charles Jr., NH; grandson, Sean O'Neill, NH; granddaughter, Kelsey Hoose, ME; brothers John (Marge) O'Neill, OH; Patrick (Fran) O'Neill, NY; Thomas (Barbara) O'Neill, NY; 39 Nephews & Nieces; 52 Grandnieces & Grandnephews. He was a graduate of St. Francis High School, Hamburg, NY, Hagerstown Community College with an Associate's Degree in Administration of Justice, with Honors and University of Maryland, Bachelor of Science. Degree. Chuck was a member of American Legion Post #0273, Madeira Beach; VFW Post #9272, Seminole; DAV Chapter 13, St. Petersburg; Past Commander, Harvey D. Morin VFW Post #2940, West Seneca, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 12, 2010 at St. Justin Martyr RC Church, 10851 Ridge Road, Seminole, FL 33778, a reception will follow at the church, interment will take place at 12:45pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to St. Justin Martyr RC Church, 10851 Ridge Road, Seminole, FL 33778 or Fisher House, c/o James A. Haley VA Hospital, 13000 Bruce B.
