DAVID ANTHONY “TONY” ALLEN, AUBURNDALE- Tony Allen, 54, went to be with his LORD on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Winter Haven Hospital in the company of his wife. He was born October 29, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, the son of James D. Allen and Ina Lee (Smith) Allen. Tony graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1985 where he was an avid Band member playing the Trumpet. He continued his education at Southeastern College graduating with an Associate in Christian Theology. A resident of Auburndale since 2006 coming from Orlando, He worked as the General Manager of Central Florida Food Bank and belonged to the organization that he created (AMP) “Alliance of Ministers and Pastors” to connect with other Ministers and Pastors regardless of denomination. He enjoyed Preaching, going to the beach, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Tony had a way of making people feel welcome and that they were part of something big. All that knew him would say that he was a true man of God that never missed an opportunity to speak the word to everyone he met. He often spoke about the circle of influence and felt that one and the friends in their circle that could either bring blessings or harm to each other, help or hinder. He wanted to help and had great influence on the lives of the people that got to know him and brought blessings to everyone around him. Tony was a God loving, humble human being that will always be remembered for his kind words, infectious laughter, and generous heart. He was a light in the world that believed in sowing seeds, working tirelessly to promote growth in the Kingdom of God showing love in everything he did. He was a great man of faith, father, husband, brother friend. Preacher and Pastor, confidant and friend to other Pastors and Ministers, a missionary to his community, Mexico, and Israel; above all, a servant of the Lord, an exemplary man that went above and beyond to help others serving by caring for, ministering to, and feeding those in need. He gave of himself without question or judgement. Tony served his purpose here on earth. God and family was his whole world. Tony’s preaching inspired many with his knowledge and a special insight to the bible and helped the people around him see and understand how to be a better person and Christian by his presence and example, leading them to want more. He believed that we have an inheritance to the Kingdom of God able to serve and claim our positions as sons and daughters through Christ. Philippians 2 1-4 Imitating Christ’s Humility: 2 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
