Mr. Dennis L Wood , 70 , of Auburndale , Florida passed away September 8, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center , Lakeland, Florida. He was born on November 8,1950 in Dothan , Alabama to James and Dorothy (Baxley ) Wood. Dennis was the owner of Wood & Associates Engineering, located in Lakeland, Florida where he worked as a Civil Engineer. Dennis was also the past owner of Woody's Health Club of Auburndale, Florida. Dennis is a graduate of The University of Florida. He loved playing golf, watching sports, especially the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team and the Florida Gators football team. He loved spending time with his family whom he loved very much. All those who knew him, knew him to be a humble, hardworking, and a patient gentleman. Mr. Dennis is survived by: his lovely wife of 42 years Kandy; 3 daughters, Kristin Spencer (Jeff) of Auburndale, Florida, Kimberly Langen (Scott) of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Karin Wood of Auburndale, Florida He was preceded in death by: his parents, brother Danny Wood, and sister Denna Hardwick. The family will receive friends at Beymer United Methodist Church on September 16, 2021, from 2:00PM - 3:00PM, Memorial services will be at 3:00PM.
