July 8th, 1945 - October 15th, 2021
Mr. Ellis Ray Riddley, beloved husband, father, son, brother & grandfather passed away Friday, October 15, 2021. Mr. Riddley was born July 8, 1945 in Cottonwood, Alabama to John Wester and Mildred (McCoy) Riddley. He was a retired Scaffolding Man in the Construction Industry and a United States Army Veteran. Ellis enjoyed sports, fishing and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ellis is survived by his loving family, wife of 54 years – Bettie Sue Riddley; son – Raymond E. Riddley; 2 daughters – Jamie (Rick) Roberson and Kimberly Palmer; 3 brothers – Douglas Riddley, Willis Riddley and Sherman Riddley; 3 sisters – Renda Meadows, Dot Taylor and Arlette Guy; grandson – Jacob R. (Caitlyn) Palmer; 4 granddaughters – Rae Lynn South, Crista Cornish, Kiera Palmer and Chloe Riddley; 1 great grandson – Bowen K. Cornish. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mr. Riddley’s name to Alzheimer’s Research, 25 North Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL. 60601. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 5th at Kersey Funeral Home.
