Mr. Percy Edward “Ed” Hayman, Jr. age 75 a resident of Lakeland passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at his home. Mr. Hayman was born August 20, 1946 if Reidsville, Georgia to Percy Edward and Alice Geneva (Hutcheson) Hayman, Sr. He was a Polk County resident for over 70 years and a United States Navy Veteran serving during Vietnam. Ed graduated from Winter Haven High School Class of 1964, was a retired Post Office Clerk and a member of the Bartow American Legion. Ed enjoyed golf, fishing, boating, reading and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers – Joseph Hutcheson & Danny Hayman and sister – Patty Outlaw. Ed is survived by his loving family, wife of 46 years – Sharon Hayman of Lakeland; son – Eric (Tammy) Hayman of Lakeland; brother – Ty (Jennifer) Hayman of Daisy, GA. and granddaughter – Maddie Hayman. Visitation will be Thursday, May 12th from 11-12 at Kersey Funeral Home. Graveside service (12:30pm) with Military Honors will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
