Bernard "Bernie" Lloyd Calvert II

Bernard Lloyd Calvert passed peacefully, surrounded by his family in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 18th, 2023. He was 66 years old. Born June 11, 1956, at Mound Park Hospital (currently Bayfront Hospital). Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Angelina LaViola Calvert and Bernard Lloyd Calvert, Sr., his brother George Calvert, sister-in-law, Cindy Linkiewicz, brother-in-law(s), Mark Tucker, Garry Tucker, Michael James and niece(s), Angela Salliotte and Rebekah Tucker. Bernard is survived by his devoted wife, Janice Tucker Calvert, loving daughter, Patricia (Trish) Pruitt, and son, Bernard (BJ) Calvert (Rebecca), his beloved granddaughters, Leah, Emilia, and Sierra; sister, Phyllis Salliotte (Kenneth), sister in law(s), Joan Calvert, Scarlet Jones (Andy), Teresa Coulter (Tracy), Connie Green (Tim), Monica Tucker, Janet Curran (Rick), and brother-in-law(s) Raymond Tucker, Gregory Tucker (Margie), Steven Linkiewicz, Michael Tucker (Myrtle) and many nieces and nephews. Bernard was an active member in the Knights of Columbus Council #16929 Father Colombiere of Sacred Heart Church where he serviced as Deputy Grand Knight and Trustee and Sir Knight for 4th Degree Knights of Columbus #163. He was a devoted volunteer for the church and especially known as “Chef Bernie” for his spaghetti dinners. A past member and president of the Sunshine Kiwanis of St. Petersburg. A dedicated volunteer and organizer for LifeLink Foundation. Viewing will be held on Monday, May 22nd, 2023, from 6pm to 8 pm at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home-Tyrone Chapel, 7820 38th Avenue N in St. Petersburg. A mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,7809 46th Way North, Pinellas Park, FL 33781 with committal service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery 5233 118th Avenue N., Clearwater, FL Donations can be made in his honor to Lifelink at www.lifelinkfoundation.org
