Brenda June Ward
June 12th, 1940 - October 1st, 2023
Brenda June (Inch) Ward, of Pass-A-Grille FL passed away in her home at sunset on October 1, 2023 surrounded by family. She was a cherished mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and good friend to many. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, George Ward. Survived by son, William Craig Ward and his wife Tina of St. Petersburg, FL, daughter Kerry (Ward) Gould and her husband Peter of Needham, MA, and daughter Lesley Ward and her husband Chuck Perry of St Petersburg, FL. Also survived by grandchildren: Taylor Ward Arango and her husband Jeff, Alysa Ward and Jenny, Jonathan, Ben Gould and his wife Ashley. Gram loved them so much and was their cheerleader. Brenda was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada in 1940 to Elsie and Clifford Inch. She grew up in Sarnia, Ontario where she was an accelerated student and member of the Sarnia Lionettes Bugle Corps. Survived by brothers Merl (Colleen) Inch, Mel (Lindi) Inch and sister-in-law Marie (Ward) Duncan. Predeceased by sister Ilda (Inch) Tomkins. Brenda also shared a lifelong friendship with Sandy Waters and Joan McKenzie. George and Brenda married and eventually relocated to the USA. They lived an adventurous life and left their mark on many places including Tampa/St Pete, Trinidad, Calgary, Gatlinburg with friends they made along the journey. A career woman who worked her entire life, Brenda was a successful hotel sales director, a realtor, a restauranteur, and top notch office administrator among many roles. If you ever received a letter from Brenda you saw the talented writer within, who never missed a birthday. Among many hidden talents, Brenda was an expert fly fisherman, unbeatable at Scrabble and Wordle, played in a steel drum band and never ever met a stranger. She loved to travel. Italy, Turks & Caicos and Greece were among her favorites. With her Linncrest neighbors, Brenda liked to play cards, watch sunsets, and gather around the bonfire. Her superpower was friendship. A legendary sun-goddess, she will always be remembered for her passion for all-things-beach. Dear Brenda, your love, wit and beautiful smile will be deeply missed. Service will be private with immediate family in Florida.
