Thomas Junior Sharpe

Mr. Thomas Junior Sharpe, age 77, a resident of Polk City, Florida passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Mr. Sharpe was born April 18, 1946 in Nashville, Georgia to Leo and Dacy Mae (Pafford) Sharpe. He was a retired Plumber, Welder and Heavy Equipment Operator. Thomas was a resident of Polk County since the 1950’s coming from Georgia. He enjoyed fishing, raising cattle and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters – Melissa & Shannon; grandson – Cayden; brothers & sisters. Thomas is survived by his loving family, wife of 43 years – Kathy Sharpe of Polk City, Florida; 3 sons – Randy (Darlene) Sharpe of Port Charlotte, Florida, Steve Sharpe of Port Charlotte, Florida and Charles Sharpe of Polk City, Florida; 2 daughters – Terri Sharpe of Port Charlotte, Florida and Misty Sharpe of Auburndale, Florida; 2 stepsons – Michael Kirkland of Lakeland, Florida and Freddie (Jennifer) Kirkland of Winter Haven, Florida; stepdaughter – Heather Mallard of Georgia; many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, December 14th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
