William Melendez

William "Willie" Melendez, 74, of Auburndale, Florida, passed away on December 8, 2023. He was born on May 15, 1949, in Puerto Rico. He lived most of his life even started a family in Brooklyn, New York. Willie will be remembered for his vibrant personality and his love for his family and friends. He was a kind-hearted individual who always put others before himself. Willie had a passion for life and enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was tending to his garden or going for walks. He had a knack for being outdoors and planting. He could captivate an entire room with his tales of wisdom. Willie will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his Wife Antonia, 6 Sons, 3 Daughters, 16 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and 2 Sister, many of Nieces and Nephews, also his extended garden family and friends. His memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Willie's life and honor his memory. In his memory the family kindly requests instead of flower provide a plant or seeds so we can continue to grow his garden in Willie's name. May his soul rest in peace.
