Robert Emil Khork, Sr.
November 5th, 1945 - January 13th, 2024
Mr. Robert Emil Khork, Sr., age 78, passed away with his wife beside him on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his home in Polk City, Florida. Mr. Khork was born November 5, 1945 in Hornell, New York, to Emil Howard and Margaret Evelyn (Cook) Khork. Robert was a Polk County resident since 1983, coming from North Carolina and formally of Plant City, Florida. He was an acoustic ceiling & drywall installer for John Brandt Acoustics. He was in the construction field for more than 30 years, having his own business as well as working for other residential & commercial construction companies. He was a past member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, collecting guns, doing auto mechanics, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister – Sandra “Sammy”; 2 brothers – Gary & David. Robert is survived by his loving family, wife of 52 years – Patricia Khork of Polk City, Florida; 2 sons – Robert “Bobby” Khork, Jr. of Texas and James (Stacey) Khork of Mulberry & Iraq; 1 daughter – Roberta (Conrad) Case of Babson Park, Florida; 3 sisters – Fran “Khorky” (Ross) Smith of New York, Harriett “BeBe” Holt of Orlando, Florida, and Maryann “Annie” (Randy) Hansen of Longwood, Florida; 5 grandchildren – Mallory, Cody, Austin (Krystal), Dusty and Emmajames; and 1 great grandson – Jackson. A memorial service will be held 3pm Saturday, February 24th at Kersey Funeral Home with a gathering beginning at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider making a donation to Good Shepherd Hospice (Florida)/Chapters Health Foundation.
