Patricia Jo Cox

Patricia "Jo" Cox, 86, of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away January 27, 2024, at Winter Haven Hospital Winter Haven, Florida. She was born on June 20, 1937, in Springfield, Ohio to Jesse James Baker and Hope Marguerite (Heininger) Baker. Jo loved playing the piano, sewing, reading, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also loved spending the holidays together with family and vacationing in Tennessee. Our funniest memory of Jo was watching her pound her chest like a gorilla while playing the taco, cat, goat, cheese, and pizza game, you had to be there for that. Her greatest achievement in life was her being married for 64 years to her wonderful and loving husband and raising a family to have a relationship with the Lord. Jo loved the Lord and her family dearly. We will remember and miss the most, her servant heart and smile that would light up any room. Jo is survived by her daughter Lois Ermatinger (John), St. Petersburg, FL., sons John Cox, Winter Haven, FL., Tim Cox (Doris), Winter Haven, FL., and Jeff Cox (Karen) Winter Haven, FL., 9 grandchildren, and 15 great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John C. Cox, Lake Alfred, FL., and daughter in law Tanda Cox, Winter Haven, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children of Promise.
