In Loving Memory of Dennis W. Williams (October 29, 1950 – February 9, 2024) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis W. Williams, age 73, of Auburndale, FL. Dennis bravely fought a long battle with cancer and peacefully left this world on February 9, 2024. Dennis proudly served in the US Air Force Reserves, 1970 - 1982, was Honorably discharged with the rank of Technical Seargent, and was part of a C-123 aircrew with the 356th Tactical Airlift Squadron at Rickenbacker AFB near Lockbourne, OH, exemplifying dedication and honor. Dennis was also a retiree of Navistar Springfield, OH and graduate of Northwestern High School and Clark State College (Springfield, OH). He was an avid golfer and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan (Metz) Williams (Auburndale, FL), his son Chad Williams (Auburndale, FL), cherished granddaughter Cassandra Williams (Indianapolis, IN), and beloved grandson Jacob Williams (Fishers, IN). He is also remembered by his sisters Elenora (Verne) (Williams) Girard (Jasper, GA), and Judy (Williams) Moore (Springfield, OH). Sister-in-law Nancy (Metz) Williams (Springfield, OH), Brother-in-law Steve (Cindy) Metz (Fishers, IN), Brother-in-law Andy Metz (South Vienna, OH), and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his Father Allie “Bill” Williams and Mother Geneva (Trent) Williams (Springfield, OH) and Father-in law Jacob Metz and Mother-in law Dolores Deane A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held on Sunday February 25, 2024, from 4-5 PM gathering of family and friends and 5PM- 6PM celebration of life service at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center 2425 North Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in commemorating the life of this remarkable man. May Dennis rest in peace, his legacy forever cherished in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL (www.give.moffitt.org (http://www.give.moffitt.org/)) who provided him with excellent care.
