Melvin Connell Roberts

Mr. Melvin Roberts, age 88, of Polk City, Florida, passed away on March 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Melvin was born a son of the late, Marvin Roberts and Thelma Connell. Melvin was the owner and operator of Roberts Slaughterhouse for many years before retiring to driving a semi truck. Melvin's favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing and BBQ'n for church gatherings and family. Melvin leaves behind to cherish his memory, four children: Charlton Roberts, Melba Roberts, Tracey (John) McGrath, and Clay Stiles; 4 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 44 years, Virginia Roberts. Melvin was a strong man of honor, integrity, and will be missed by many. A graveside service for Mr. Melvin Roberts will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Mt Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, 5415 Mt. Olive Road, Polk City, Florida.
