Michael Joseph Gautreaux

Michael Joseph Gautreaux, age 63, a native of Hilo, Hawaii and resident of Houma, LA and Davenport, Florida, entered into eternal life on Monday, April 22, 2024. Michael worked offshore for BJ Services and Baker Hughes. He was fond of water activities such as swimming, fishing, and boat riding, enjoyed cars and motorcycles, found delight in decorating for the holidays, and loved a large bowl of cereal late at night while watching classic science fiction movies. Michael is survived by his mother, Lamar Falgout Gautreaux (Leroy); his children, Sarah Barbera (Brandon), Amanda Segura (Steven "Rico"), Bethanie Barrilleaux (Robert); and Benjamin Gautreaux (Emilee); his grandchildren, (Madison, Alex, Robert III, Peter, Matthew, Emerson, and Baby Gautreaux); his sisters, Cheryl Pond and Susan Granger. Michael is preceded in passing by his father, Lawrence J. Gautreaux Jr, his stepmother, Johnnie Spell Gautreaux, and his sister, Pamela Gautreaux. Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, LA on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 beginning at 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Burial to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's in his memory.
