Mr. Jim Rodney West, age 59 a resdient of Auburndale, Florida passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Winter Haven Hospital. Mr. West was born June 17, 1951 in Moultrie, Georgia to David Earnest and Gladys Pauline (Monroe) West. He was a resdient of Auburndale, Florida for the past 40 years coming from Georgia. He graduated from Auburndale Senior High School in 1970 and retired from Publix as a truck driver after 27 years of service. Jim was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Auburndale, member of the Lakeland Bass Master's Club, loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father; David Earnest West. Jim is survived by his loving family: wife of 40 years - Suzanne; son - Jim; daughter - Amy; mother - Pauline West; sisters - Dale Witherington & Jan West; 2 grandsons - Briley & Brentley; and 3 granddaughters - Mikaela, Mikenzie & Mazie. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, Florida with interment to follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
