January 25th, 1923 - February 5th, 2011
AUBURNDALE - Mr. Billy Grey Fields, age 88, of Auburndale passed away Saturday February 5, 2011 in Winter Haven due to cardiac arrest. Mr. Fields was born in Coal Grove, OH. and moved to this area in 1980. He was retired Employment Supervisor with Allied Chemical in South Point. Ohio. Mr. Fields was also a WW II Veteran of the 8th Army Air Corps servings as a gunner on B-24's flying 30 missions and receiving several medals including the distinguished Flying Cross. After retiring Mr. Fields enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Berkley Fields and sister, JoAnn Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Charlene Jones Fields of Auburndale, a daughter, Jane (Charles) Deeds of Auburndale, grandchildren, Daniel (Darcy) Deeds and Melissa (Russell) Bentley, and 5 great grandchildren, Maxwell Grey and Cooper Jacob Deeds and Masen Glen, India Jane and Georgia Louise Bentley. A Funeral Service will take place Tuesday at 2pm at the Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale with visitation beginning at 1pm at the funeral Home
