Lawrence Bauer
October 25th, 1924 - June 28th, 2009
Lawrence C. Bauer, 84, formerly of Louisville, Ohio and Port Charlotte, Fl. passed from this life on June 28, 2009. Mr. Bauer retired from Republic Steel Corporation, Canton, Ohio after 40 years of service. He was also a combat veteran of WWII having served in the 10th Mountain Division of the U.S. Army. Mr. Bauer was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ola Bauer, a brother Roy Bauer, and a sister Marie Scott. Mr. Bauer is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita Bauer and four sons, Bob (Shirley) Bauer of Auburndale, Rick (Ann) Bauer of Port Charlotte, FL., Ron (Sarah) Bauer of West Valley, Utah, and Dennis (Pam) Bauer of Springhill, FL. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bauer was a faithful member of the Orange Street church of Christ in Auburndale and was a generous supporter of mission work in Ghana, West Africa. Visitation will be held Weds. July 1, 10:00 ? 11:00 AM at Kersey Funeral Home with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Florida School of Preaching, 1807 South Florida Ave., Lakeland, Fl. 33803 or Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave. Auburndale, Fl. 33823.
