Richard Alan Pimentel

Richard Alan Pimentel, 50, of Melbourne, Florida, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 31, 2017, after battling cancer. Richard worked as a meat-cutter at Sam’s Club for 15 years and as a chef at Longhorn’s Steakhouse. Rich embodied the highest level of integrity and had a witty, sarcastic sense of humor which his family and friends adored. He was a humble, simple spirit and felt most peaceful in nature and the great outdoors. Richard married his loving wife Dawn in 1992 and was her knight in shining armor ever since. Together they raised two amazing children who themselves reflect their dad’s warmth, loyalty, and humor. Rich was deeply devoted to his family as a son, brother, husband, father, and friend and will be dearly missed. Richard is survived by his wife Dawn Houck-Pimentel, son and daughter Cody and Danielle Pimentel, sister and brother-in-law Tina and Adam Efland, father and step-mom Robert and Kim Pimentel, and step-father Jess Culp. He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Ann Culp and brother Robert Edward Pimentel Jr. Richard’s Celebration of Life will take place at Wickham Park in Melbourne, FL on November 18, 2017, at 11:00 am. All are welcome to attend. In honor of Richard’s passion for food and the great outdoors, please bring your favorite New Orleans style dish and a lawn chair or ground blanket.
