Juanita Viola Green, 92, of Auburndale, FL, died June 3, 2015, at New Horizon Share Home in Winter Haven due to complications from a stroke. Born March 3, 1923, in Florence, AL, she was the oldest of eight children of Edward and Nancy Glasscock. She graduated from Auburndale High School in 1941. While attending Jones Business School in Jacksonville, FL, she met Lynn Green, USN, whom she would later marry on September 22, 1944, in San Diego, CA. In 1952, she moved back to Auburndale, and with Lynn, founded Lynn Green Plumbing and Hardware, which remains today, family owned and operated. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Auburndale, and later attended the First Missionary Baptist Church of Auburndale. She is preceded in death by her husband Lynn and son Randall. She is survived by sons, Thomas Ellen Green, Robert Leanne Green, James Roy Green, all of Auburndale; sister Peggy Gustavson Don , Melbourne, FL; 7 grandchildren, Candilyn, Christina, Kelly, Chelsey, Brian, Jade and Devin; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the New Horizon Share Home, 2100 State Road 540 West, Winter Haven, Florida, 33880. Donations will help fund additional programs and activities.
