Mr. Oscar S. Turlington, age 74 a resident of Kinard, Florida and former resident of Auburndale passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Blountstown, Florida due to heart failure. Mr. Turlington was born January 27, 1940 in Inwood, Florida to James Chandler and Louise (Lawson) Turlington. He was a resident of Kinard for the past 11 years coming from Auburndale where he and his family lived for many, many years. He attended Auburndale High School. Oscar worked and retired from Coca Cola, International Paper and Wonder Bread. He also was the retired owner/operator of Kirk & Riley Septic Service of Polk City. He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Wewahitchka, FL. and also attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Polk City, Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale and Life & Praise in Auburndale. Oscar enjoyed the outdoors, antique cars and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son - Steven Warren Turlington; daughter - Karen Denise Turlington; brother-in-law - Jay and niece - Ashley. Oscar is survived by his devoted family; Wife of 54 Years: Glenda Turlington of Kinard, FL. Son: Terry Morgan Turlington of Polk City, FL. Daughter: Krisha Renee (Jon) Parker of Woodbridge, VA. Brother: James Lowell (Charlene) Turlington of Lakeland, FL. Sister: Sylvia Turlington Etchison of Dewitt, FL. 6 Grandchildren: Terica (David) Kelley of Auburndale, FL. Garrett Turlington of Polk City, FL. Wyatt Turlington of Polk City, FL. Madeline Parker of Woodbridge, VA. John Williams of Auburndale, FL. Charles Turlington of Auburndale, FL.
