Mr. Russell Glen Pixley, age 89, a resident of Winter Haven passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Winter Haven Hospital due to natural causes. Mr. Pixley was born November 11, 1924, in Henryville, Indiana, to Amos and Bertha (Carter) Pixley. He was a Polk Co. resident since 1955 coming from Indiana. He was a retired Poultry Farmer and also worked for Fleetwing Corp. He enjoyed mowing grass, traveling, woodworking and loved being ahandyman. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Doris; 2 brothers George & Lloyd. Russell is survived by his loving family: 2 sons: Wayne (Karen) Pixley of Auburndale, Alan (Pama) Pixley of Lakeland, daughter: Brenda (Bill) Castleberry of Winter Haven, sister: Helen (Donnie) Graf of IN, 5 grandchildren: Scott, Justin, Michael, Megan, & Nicholas, 8 great grandchildren: Daniel, Kiersten, Justin Jr., Kaylee, Aiden, Evan, Sydney & Lily.
