Helen "Jeannie" Jean Brewer

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Helen Jean "Jeannie" Brewer, age 78, a resident of Auburndale passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at her home due to a Stroke. Mrs. Brewer was born October 29, 1934 in Memphis, TN., to Louis and Eva Bell (Camp) Gatlin. She was an Auburndale resident for the past 2 years coming from Lake Mary. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and decided to winter in Auburndale & also San Diego. Jean was a retired bank loan officer, worked as a real estate broker, a sales helper at the Christmas store in downtown Disney and also a CNA. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a past member of the Military Officers Club with her husband, DAV and AARP. She was in a bowling league scoring in the 300s, she enjoyed cross stitching, sewing, cooking, cake decorating, quilting, reading and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; step parents; son Lawrence Wayne Carmel and 1 sister Gina Cooper. Jeannie is survived by: husband of 59 years: Eddie Brewer of Auburndale, FL, 2 sons: Brian S. Brewer of HI, Charles Eddie (Sherry) Brewer of Indianapolis, IN, 3 daughters: Cathy Jean (Bill) Sigmund of Oklahoma City, OK, Mary Ann (Saleem) Ishaque of Descanso, CA, Sheila Kaye Correira of Davenport, FL, 2 brothers: Zarrel Camp of Memphis, TN, Louis (Sylvia) Gatlin of Fisher, IN, 9 grandchildren: Katie, Tristan, Melonie, Cathleen, Angela, Kristina, Suzanna, Kelsey & Sarah, 13 great grandchildren: Abagail, Hannah, Emily, Olivia, Colby, Jacob, Isabella, Annalisa, Carolina, Kaelyn, Ryan, Haley & Ashton. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held before from 10-11 AM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2:00 PM.
