Bobbie Lee Wilson. Sr.

Mr. Bobbie Lee Wilson, Sr. age 75 a resident of Polk City passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wilson was born January 22, 1945 in Lyons, Georgia to Ira Lee and Bertie (Beasley) Wilson, I. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Road Construction Industry. He was a lifetime resident of Polk County, on the Board of Directors of Polk City Little League and the Polk City Founders Day Committee. Bobbie was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his early years he raced stock cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter – Rachel; brothers – Curtis, Leroy, Troy & Doy and sister – Sue. Bobbie is survived by his loving family; 3 sons – Ira Wilson and his wife Michelle of Polk City, Bobby Wilson, Jr. and his wife Carrie of Cumming, Georgia and Ricky Wilson and his wife Heidi of Auburndale; brother – Earl Wilson of Lakeland; 2 sisters – Alma Carson of Polk City and Grace Fulghum of Georgia; 9 grandchildren – Kayla, Dylan, Dalton, Kyler, Gabby, Emily, Tyler, Thomas & Paighten and 1 great grandson – Gavin. Visitation will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 12th at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Polk City.
