Edward Keil Brown, Sr.
February 11th, 1929 - January 29th, 2021
Mr. Edward Keil Brown, Sr. age 91 a resident of Auburndale went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Lakeland Regional surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Brown was born February 11, 1929 in Mayo, Florida to Elmer and Lillie (Williams) Brown. He was a Polk County resident since 1951 coming from Madison, Florida. Keil retired after 42 years as a Tree Surgeon with Davey Tree Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Polk City and prior 45 year member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale. He enjoyed playing Blue Grass music on his guitar, gardening, building things and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers – Carlton & Andrew James. Keil is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years Ona Lee Brown of Auburndale; 4 sons – Edward Keil Brown, Jr. and his wife Patricia, Charles Howard Brown and his wife Judy and James Riley Brown and his wife Patricia all of Auburndale and Timothy Dale Brown and his wife Sherri of Lake Alfred; sister – Velma Jean McClamma of Live Oak, Florida; 8 grandchildren – Amy, Lisa, Becky, Jason, Carrie, James, Jr., Howard and Timothy, Jr.; 13 great grandchildren – Noah, Seth, Tanner, Addison, Tucker, Grace, Hope, Landon, Logan, Brinlee, Briley, Reagan & Mackenzie; 2 great great grandchildren – Camden & Maelee. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 3rd at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park. The family asks due to COVID please wear a mask & social distance when possible.
