Francis "Frank" H. Vance

Vance, Francis H. “Frank”, passed away at the age of 95 on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was born in 1922 in Youngstown, PA and served in France in WWII. He was married to his wife Vera for 72 years. Frank owned an electrical contracting company in Virginia before moving to Tampa in 1959. He retired from the Hillsborough County School Board and learned the locksmith trade. He owned Frank’s Lock & Key in Land o’ Lakes, and reluctantly sold the company when he was 77. Frank was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a hardworking man who didn't know the meaning of the word “can't”. He is survived by his wife, Vera Bennett Vance; son, Kenneth Vance; daughters, Karen Vance Johnson (Richard) and Hope Vance (Martin Tschiderer); granddaughter, Diana Vance Pochis; great-grandchildren, Damion Pochis, Mikka Pochis, Dawson Pochis and Ariel Pochis; and great great-grandchildren, Ryder Pochis and Eli Pochis. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at Angels Senior Living Connerton Court, 21021 Betel Palm Lane, Land O’ Lakes at 2:00 p.m on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
