Mary Graham Rogers

Mary Graham Rogers, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 13, 2017. Born in Lyons, Georgia, Mary moved to Tampa in 1939. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended the University of Tampa. In 1959 she married her husband Norman and worked for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and New College of Florida in Sarasota until she had children. Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was always there for everyone, whether it was a “place to stay” or a “stay for dinner”…her door was always open. Mary was loving, strong, happy and selfless. All that knew her loved her for her beautiful spirit. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary; brother, Frank; sister, Lois; husband of over fifty years, Norman; and son-in-law, Marvin. She is survived by her children, Staci, Shannon (Butch) and Darrell (Laren); grandchildren, Sheldon (Radina) and Chandler (Whitney); great-granddaughter, Kamryn; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and her loving caretaker, Zoila. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association @alz.org.
