BERMUDEZ, Carmen A., 90, a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mino; and daughter; Elisa. Carmen is survived by her daughter, Marisa Bermudez; and fur-grandbaby, Kiva. Carmen was a Registered Nurse, receiving her education in New Orleans, LA. She worked as a psychiatric nursing director at Tampa General Hospital and Florida Mental Health Institute. Carmen was highly regarded as a compassionate nurse and a mentor to many. She was a loving mother, a woman of great strength and an honor and cherished friend. She was known as “Mamacita” to many and will be dearly missed. Recently, she reached her goal of celebrating her 90th birthday in style, tiara and all.
