Robert Elwood Burke

BURKE Jr, Robert "Bobby" Elwood, 53, of Tampa, passed away, September 21, 2007 at the Town and Country Hospital in Tampa, FL.. Robert was born April 18, 1954 in Waterbury, CT to Robert Elwood Burke Sr, and the late Gloria (Simmons) Burke. He was a graduate of Nonnewaug High School of Woodbury in 1973, and formerly employed by The State of Connecticut Department of mental Retardation at Southbury Training School prior to moving to Florida. Survivors include his father, Robert Sr; his loving children, Robert "Robbie" Burke of Tampa, FL and Cleo Burke recently of Waterbury, CT; 3-sisters, Sheila Burke of Tampa, FL, Marguerite (Burke) Showers and husband, Mark of West Haven, CT; Helen (Burke) Taylor and husband Alan of Waterbury, CT; 1-brother, Rober Burke of New Haven, CT; nephews and nieces, William henry Lee IV of Atlanta, GA,; Mylene Burke of New Haven, CT;, Tanhya Burke of Opelika, AL, Chad and Chase Taylor both of Waterbury, CT; 3- great-nieces and 1-great-nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, host of friends and dear friend Donna Simonds of Tampa, Florida. Services will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 6100 Memorial Highway Tampa, Florida 33615, October 10, 2007 at 6:20 PM.
