Roy Nathan Vance
February 23rd, 1933 - June 2nd, 2008
VANCE, Roy, 75, of Plant City, born in Logan County, West Virginia, passed away June 2, 2008. Roy served in the Navy, during the Korean War, as a mine sweeper. He loved all sports, especially enjoyed watching the University of Florida Gator's. When he wasn't watching sports he was fishing or doing yard work. Roy loved his wife and family very much. He also had a dog named Sunshine that he enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev & Mrs. JW Vance; granddaughter, Jenny and Jenny’s mother, Marty Vance; 3-brothers, Charles, Chester and James Vance. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Virginia; children, Roy Jr and daughter, Chelsea; Robert and children, Melanie, Robert II, Nicole and Kendal; Kay and children, Richard, Joey and Timmy; Stephen (Deborah) and children, Michelle, Ashley and Heather; Christopher (Jennifer) and children, Chaz, McKenzie and TyTy; sister, Lucille Elliott; brother, Amos C. Vance, and many other family members. Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2008, 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Florida Mortuary, 4601 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa.
