RODRIGUEZ-PADRON, Orfelio, 70, of Tampa, passed away July 28, 2009. Orfelio was born on October 11, 1938 in Santa Lucia Cabaiguan, Cuba to Miguel and Elena (Padron) Rodriguez. A famous actor, Jorge Villason, in Cuba, Orfelio & his son, Orfelio Jr., did some movies with Jorge. Orfelio was given a choice in Cuba either to stay with the movie's or his family, of course, he chose his family. After he made his decision not to persue the movie career he farmed (animals and gardening), an excellent and smart business man. He came to the United States September 14, 1995 with his family. One of the reasons he came to the United States was to persue his own career here, worked 2 years for a Remains Company, clothing, in St. Louis, Missouri. Orfelio decided to move on, he would purchase, fix up and sell these homes. He did did this on his own. The family moved to Tampa, FL in 1997 to 2003, did the same this regarding buying, fixing up and selling homes. 2003 went back to Missouri until 2007, continued his self-employment in housing. 2007 moved back to Tampa, FL. Orfelio did not show alot of affection, even though he had affection. He encouraged values, work hard and save money. Orfelio was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mario Rodriguez and brother-in-law, Pedro Uria. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Olga M. Fernandez; children, Carmen Alicia Rodriguez, Carmen Rodriguez, Yolanda Rodriguez, Lucia (Noel Reyes) Rodriguez, Orfelio M. (Luisa Miranda) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Yenny (Onel Campos) Enrique, Yerandy Enrique, Yohandra (Simon Tellez) Fernandez, Yosleidis Rodriguez, Noelito Reyes, Raunell Reyes, Yoel Reyes, Reinell Reyes, Yilbert Dieges, Carmen L. Penton. Emanuel Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez and Maria Penton; great-grandchildren, Yohana L. Roman, Gabriela Campos, Daniela Campos and Isabela Campos; brothers and sisters, Elena (Saro Torres) Rodriguez, Anisel Rodriguez, Ana Rodriguez, Pastor M. Rodriguez, family and friends. Orfelio said and felt that LifePath Hospice gave him such excellent care, he commented, "he felt like a millionaire". Also, that he was very greatful for the care that was given by LifePath and his loving family. Dr. Perla Ramos was his doctor, he did not like going to doctors, but was very impressed by her dedication to him and listened to what she suggested he do. Histhanks to his Hospice Nurse's, Bonnie, Ada and the translator, Barbara, Social Worker, Sarah, and the many other people that helped Orfelio.
