Gertrude Elsa Deske Hunt

HUNT, Gertrude, 89, a recent resident of the Hearthstone at Carrollwood Home in Tampa, Florida, died peacefully with her family at her side on April 3, 2010. Gertrude was born in New Britain, Connecticut on November 29, 1920, and graduated from Weaver High School, Hartford, Connecticut in 1939. She was a former resident of Nacogdoches, Texas and West Hartford, Connecticut and was retired from the Kidney Foundation of Connecticut where she served as secretary for many years. Gertrude was a very loving and caring mother, active in her church and enjoyed gardening and homemaking. She is preceded in death by daughter, Donna-Jean Hunt, formerly of Nacogdoches, Texas, and husband, Earl Hunt, Sr. She is survived by her son, Earl Hunt, Jr. of Lutz, Florida, grandsons, Robert Hunt of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Michael Hunt of Lutz, Florida and Thomas Hunt of Seattle, Washington, and 5 great-grandchildren. A joint memorial service and interment will be held in Manchester, Connecticut on June 19, 2010 for Gertrude and recently deceased daughter, Donna-Jean. Donations may be made to the United Fund.
