WILHELM, Doris I., 72, of Tampa, Florida, passed away following a courageous fight with cancer, Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Born in Lake City, Iowa on November 22 to Frank and Gladys McIntire. Doris graduated from Lake City High School in 1956. Retiring at age 36 from Wright Co Framer’s Elevator in Clarion, Iowa, she volunteered over 14,000 hours at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis. She enjoyed playing bridge and time with friends and family. Her love of people and laughter were very apparent. Survivors include husband, Burnis Wilhelm, son Daniel (Shelley) Schaffer; step-children, Michael (Elizabeth) Wilhelm, Lori (Keith) Hays, Debra (Neal) Netsch; thirteen grandchildren; brother, Dwight (Jane) McIntire, sister, Frances (Dwight) Morenz. Memorial Services in Tampa, Fla., Tuesday, January 25 at 2:30 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 8401 W. Hillsborough Ave. and Satturday, January 29th at 1:00 p.m. at Wayzata, Minnesota, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3745 Shoreline Dr. For a more info refer to www.DorisWilhelm.com.
