May 31st, 1953 - November 11th, 2012
McALISTER Jr., James, 59, of Tampa, passed away November 11, 2012. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with Emily. He loved country music. In the early 90's he was a coach for a girls little league softball team for which he won many trophies. He enjoyed watching Gator games and loved football especially if his team was winning. He also taped silent movies and loved watching them, along with 70's comedy television, with his wife. He was preceded in death by his father, James McAlister, Sr.; sister, Kathy McAlister. He is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Emily McAlister; children, Jeffery and Carrie McAlister; daughter in law, Hannah; two grandchildren, Kayla and Dana; mother, Ruth McAlister; brother, Stephen McAlister; nieces, Aspen McAlister and Kirsten Cruz; nephews, Jim Hoult and Craig Brandt. A service will take place at 4:oo p.m., Friday, at Florida Mortuary. The family will receive friends one hour prior. The family will be accepting flowers or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
