Elizabeth Macy

MACY, Sarah Elizabeth (Liz), 83, of Lutz, left to join her Lord on Nov. 17th, 2013. With her family by her side, she exited this life with the same grace she lived it. Survived by her sister, Carolyn Macy, children Ken (Pam), Mark (Judy), Susan Hunt (Richard) and Martin Macy (Kathy), “Memommy” will be missed by her 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grands. Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, her brother, Martin Jones and her granddaughter, Larsen Hunt. As a woman of deep faith, she was a longstanding member and servant at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Tampa. As a mother & grandmother, she loved her family deeply and attentively. After working for the school system, she served almost 20 years as WEDU’s membership coordinator before retiring. Very gifted, Liz created poetry, hand-made greeting cards, beautiful drawings, quilts and clothing. She loved animals and gardening, and was an excellent cook. Those who knew her well were blessed by her strength of character, sense of humor and loving nature. Greatly loved, she will be greatly missed. “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all” Proverbs 31: 29 The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the attentive care provided by the owners and staff of Magnolia Manor Assisted Living.
