Harold J Kyne
December 18th, 1930 - August 5th, 2020
Harold J. Kyne was taken by angels to join our Lord on August 5, 2020. He was at home surrounded by his family. He was born in the Bronx, NY, to Henry T. Kine and Josephine Gallo Kine on December 18, 1930. He attended St John’s Catholic High School and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. During his years in New Jersey he worked for the Ford Motor Company and PSE&G. He retired to Long Beach Island and served on the Ocean County Board of Social Services and the Ship Bottom Zoning Board. He was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club in both Ship Bottom and Sun City Center. He moved to Sun City Center in 1998 where he was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a lifelong Secular Franciscan. Harold served as president of his neighborhood HOA and was a member of the SCC Security Patrol. He enjoyed golfing, ceramics and traveling with the Sun City Travel Club. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Helen Knauf Kyne, his four children: Harold Jr (Joanne), Joanne Leichte (Bob), Kathleen Durand (Shawn), and Maureen Przybylowski (Tim), thirteen grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Geraldine Grady, Eleanor Meltzer, Lt Col Gloria Kyne and Penelope Martin and great-granddaughter Aubrey Kyne.
