Thomas Edwin “Tom” Wensley was 75 years old when he departed this life on Monday March 14, 2022 in Sun City Center, Florida. Tom was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Irene Martin and his son in law Mark Meggert. Tom is survived by his wife, Brenda Kemp Allen- Wensley; his father, Edwin (Lois) Wensley; his siblings, LaDonna (Mike) Dent, Sheryl (Ron) Doom, Yvonne Voyles-Moore, John Voyles, Delbert (Loretta) Wensley, Curtis (Christie) Wensley, Lyle (Ginger) Wensley, Eddie (Angie) Wensley; his children, Joel (Roxanne) Wensley, Jeanette Meggert, Sherri Cavanaugh, Jonathon (Gabrielle) Wensley, Heather Roberson, Matthew (Angie) Allen, Lindsey (Jeremy) Hogg, twenty-four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin, friend and beloved by all, especially his wife, Brenda. Tom was born in Dearborn, Michigan, he graduated from Edsel Ford High School in 1964 where he was a diving champion, with a 28 year unbroken record, and an Olympic hopeful. After high school, Tom continued on with his education and earned his Bachelor’s degree and CPA from Spring Arbor Christian College and the University of Michigan, Dearborn. Tom was an entrepreneur who owned multiple businesses over the span of his life. He was an avid golfer, loved to sing, play guitar, host gatherings, hunt, fish, and spend quality time with his friends and family. He appreciated spending every moment of every day, especially quiet evenings, cooking, and watching movies with his loving wife. There will be a private viewing for Tom’s children and siblings at Sun City Center Funeral Home in Sun City Center, Florida on Friday March 18, 2022 at 11:00 am EST.
