Duenki, Jr., Carl W., 89 of Sun City Center, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Sun City Center Hospice House with his loving family at his side. Born in Toledo, Ohio on December 18, 1922, Carl was a retired car salesman and a World War 2 U.S. Army Veteran, and was a P.O.W. captured during the Battle of the Bulge. A member of United Community Church, Sun City Center, Damascus Lodge F&A.M. #643, Toledo, Ohio, Zenobia Temple, Toledo, Arab Patrol, D.A.V. Chapter, Manasota Chapter EX P.O.W. and Sun City Center Shrine Club. Carl is preceded in death by his first wife Charlotte and a granddaughter Kelly Anne Cook. Survivors include his wife Ruth P. Friedman-Duenki of Sun City Center, daughters Nancy (Michael Chomiak) Tuttle of Westerville, Ohio, Patricia (Robert) Cook of Sylvania, Ohio, 2 step-children Jeffrey Alpert of Tampa and Jill (Steven) Friedman-Wonders of Cosby, TN. Carl is also survived by 7 grandchildren Douglas (Julie) Cook, Thomas (Ondrea) Cook, Erin (James) Walrod, Michael (Laura) Tuttle, Matthew Tuttle, Mark Tuttle and Kristin Tuttle, and 7 great-grandchildren and a step-granddaughter Hannah Alpert. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions to Sun City Center Hospice House and Heroes In Action, P.O.
