Betty Fosgate Spillner, age 80, died July 17, 2010 at Plaza West, Sun City Center, Florida. Betty was the wife of Colonel Siegfried H. Spillner, U.S. Army, retired. Betty was active in the U.S. Army Military Police Officer's Ladies Activities. She was president of the Military Police Officers's Ladies Clubs in Washington,D.C., in Germany and at Fort Gordon, Georgia. She has been a resident of Sun City Center, Florida since 1992. She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Spillner, her two brothers Durward and Olin Fosgate and her sister, Odith Bannerman. She is survived by her husband, Colonel Siegfried H. Spillner, U.S. Army, retired of Sun City Center, FL, her son, Wayne Spillner and his wife, Jacqulyn of Warrenton, VA, three grandsons, Brent Spillner and his wife, Angela of Alexandria, VA, Kent Spillner and his wife, Ozge of Oak Park, IL, and Jeffrey Spillner of Columbus, OH, a brother, Kenneth Fosgate of Minong, WI and her daughter in law, Kathryn Spillner of Cary, IL. as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2010 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Florida. Inurnment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made in Betty's name to The V. Foundation for Cancer Research,106 Towerview Court. Cary NC 27513
