Borawa, Chester F, 90 of Sun City Center, Fl, passed away on June 27, 2011 at South Bay Hospital. Born in Riverhead, NY on April 4, 1921, Chester was a retired Administrative Clerk employed by General Electric. A World War 2 U. S. Army Air Corp veteran serving with the Flying Tigers, C.B.I. and Hump Pilot Association, Chester was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center. Survivors include his wife Dora L. Borawa of Sun City Center, sons Charles (Barbara) Borawa of Charlotte, NC, James (Martha) Borawa of Ashville, NC, and daughter Joyce (John) Sharifi of Torrance, CA. son Roger (Jacque) Van Derwerken of Quantico, VA, Daughter Alice Van Derwerken and husband David Sprague of Rome, Maine, son Mark (Anna Van Derwerken of Central Bridge, NY, sister Valarie Thompson of Spring, TX. Chester is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be said on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center, and burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with Military Honors.
