John Marvin Bartha
April 4th, 1946 - February 19th, 2011
Bartha, Rev. John M. "Johnny", 64 of Ruskin, Fla passed away February 19, 2011. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam Conflict and was pastor of the Ruskin United Methodist Church. He was an ordained elder of the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church and an active member of the South Hillsborough Ministerial Association. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Wanda, daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Bartha Simmons, two sons, John W. Bartha and James M. (Michelle) Bartha, two granddaughters, Olivia and Jordyn, and two sisters, Elizabeth Hunter and Sue Ann McCawley. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Ruskin United Methodist Church, 105 4th Avenue, N.W., Ruskin, Fla. Interment with Military Honors will be 11:00 a.m.Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ruskin United Methodist Church or the Florida United Methodist Children's Home.
