Sun City Center Funeral Home
Margo C. Warner
March 3rd, 1946 - March 14th, 2014
Margo Clark Warner, beloved wife of Jerry, mother of Nancy and Barbara, and her Step Sons, Paul and Jeremy, daughter of Nancy and Don Clark, sister of Chris, George, Peter and Drew, passed away on the evening of March 14, 2014. Margo slipped away peacefully at LifePath Hospice House in Sun City Center, surrounded by loving family and friends. Her loyal and loving dog Drambuie visited and will miss her. Margo is also survived by her loving grandchildren; Nicholas, Michael, Callie, Brady, Sam and Chloe, many close cousins, nieces and nephews, and her beloved stepfather, Gene Byrne. Her father, Don Charles Clark, preceded her in death. An accomplished student from early in life, from high school where she graduated with honors and was in the honors society, and at University where she was president of Freshman's Honor Society at University of Wisconsin. A member of student government and of Chi Omega Sorority, she was always involved and engaged - never selfish, always thinking of others. Margo completed her degree in Physical Therapy, a goal she had very early in life. It was a decision that gave her countless opportunities to help others, as was her passion. Margo travelled several different professional paths. After graduation she worked for a large company providing clinical services for residents of nursing homes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Following this experience, she owned and operated a private clinic, again in Milwaukee. While married to Jerry, she also became the Manager of Therapy Services at All Saints Healthcare System in Racine. Margo and Jerry moved to Florida in 1999 where Margo worked in home health, providing PT services to homebound elders. Due the challenges of her illness, Margo retired in 2010. However, she remained active, counseling Medicare recipients about coverage decisions (SHINE), and providing meals for volunteers of Sun City Center Volunteer Fire and Rescue Center. Margo and Jerry were married for 27 wonderful loving years and led an active and energetic social life, including being a member of the Krewe of the South Shore Marauders. An invitation to the Warner's meant that you be served a meal meant for royalty. It was amazing to watch them in the kitchen - poetry in motion. Always more than enough wonderful food, good wine, and of course, lots of scotch - dancing, sailing, golfing, playing cards, partying with friends and acquaintances. Few people could keep up with her in her favorite card games. With family especially, playing cards was a special tradition, from the oldest members of our family, to Margo's grandchildren, everyone loved playing cards with Margo. However, you never expected to win. A celebration of her life will be held for friends and family on May 3rd, 2014 in Apollo Beach and details will be sent. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either, Moffit Cancer Center, Melanoma Research, 12902 USF Magnolia Drive, Tampa, Fl 33612; or LifePath Hospice House 3723 Upper Creek Drive, Sun City Center, Fl 33573.
