Richard E. Collins, Jr., 75 of Sun City Center, passed away August 8, 2016. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He retired from IBM after 32 years of service and from Blue Cross/Blue Shield after 9 years as Facilities Director. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Carmel, NY. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Monigle. Survivors include his wife, Irene Collins, his daughter, Deborah (George) Judd, his son, Edward (Donna) Collins, three step sons, David Clark, Brian (Marie) Clark and Daniel (Michelle) Clark, four grandchildren, Kristen and Brody Judd and Matthew and Stephanie Collins and three step grandsons, Noah, Ethan and Benjamin Clark. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016 at St Anne Catholic Church, 106 11th Avenue, N.E. Ruskin, Fla. Interment with Military Honors at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256 Arrangements Sun City Center Funeral Home (813) 634-9900
