Patricia A. Shores
November 22nd, 1946 - September 23rd, 2020
It is with both great sorrow, and peace that transcends understanding, that we announce the passing of Patricia A. Shores. Pat went home to be with her Jesus after a two year battle with cancer. She is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her children: Jay Shores of Rockland, MA, and Kimberly Major of St. Petersburg, Florida. Her grandchildren: Morgan and David Strom, Savannah and Gill Hinson, Rosalie and Matthew Berardinelli, and her four great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her mother and younger sisters. She is survived by her sister Maureen and Gill Begin, and her brothers: Richard and Michelle O’Connor, Kevin and Cheryl O’Connor. She has 8 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews. She had many Aunts and Uncles, and great Aunts and Uncles, cousins and second cousins whom she loved dearly. Pat was always proud of her relationship with Jesus, and her absolute belief that she would be with Him at the end of her life here. She was never shy to share His love for all mankind, and to urge them to trust Him with their lives. She was filled with Jesus’ love for His people. She exemplified this love in the faithful way she prayed for those she loved, and disliked. She poured hours into crocheting/knitting blankets, shawls, etc. of love and warmth to wrap around her friends. (If you have one of these blankets, you know what I mean.) She further showed this love by creating blankets and hats to leave on the donation stand in the chemo center, for anyone who needed warmth. They were never there when we returned. We weep at her passing and yet celebrate her return home. While she is so greatly missed, she is loved eternally, and she is finally where she longed to be.
