June Elaine Smith

June Elaine Smith, 90, from St. Petersburg, passed away June 24, 2022. Born July 2, 1931 in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of Rev. Laben M. Huff and Catherine F. Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 49 years, Edward G. Smith. June lived in Pittsburgh, Morristown, NJ, Key West, FL and St. Petersburg through her life. During her career she managed the largest variety store on the Wildwood Boardwalk for 20 years. She was known for her love of family and spending time making memories during many fun times. June enjoyed playing cards with friends, sailing, and was a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht club, the Moose Lodge, American Legion and the St. Pete Lawn Bowling Club. Although she will be missed, she will be remembered for ‘doing it her way’. Left to cherish her memory are her children, sons, Edward G. Smith (Joy), Norman (Pamela); her grandchildren, Summer, Christopher; great-grandson, Christopher. June’s favorite musical performance was the half time show of the Super Bowl.
