Polly Ann Lucas

Polly Ann (O’neil) Lucas – age 98 of St. Petersburg, FL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 27, 2023. Polly was born on April 12, 1925 in Huntington, IN, to William Arthur O’neil and Marie Elizabeth (Cunningham) O’neil and was a twin to her sister Peggy (O’neil) Maselowitch. On May 31, 1947, she married Lewis Edward Lucas. She was a devoted, loyal, and loving wife to him for 46 years. She was an amazing and loving mother to her 6 children, Kathleen (Lucas) Reigle, Robert Lucas, Sylvia (Lucas) Washeleski, Jane (Lucas) Lewis, Madeline (Lucas) Scott, Cindy (Lucas) Sellers. Polly was also a loving grandmother to her 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husband, sister, and daughters, Madeline, Jane, and Sylvia. Polly was a very classy, polished, quiet, and very kind lady. She loved the “How Great Thou Art” hymn and the “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” hymn. She was truly a “Proverbs 31 Lady”! She loved shopping, baseball, history and keeping up with current events. Polly Lucas was truly loved and will be immensely missed by her family and other lives she has touched. The memorial service will be at Bay Pines Cemetery at 11:00a.m on Monday, December 4, 2023.
