Veronica Harris

Veronica Dawn Harris, beloved daughter, and friend left us suddenly on Monday, August 9th at her home in Tampa, FL. She was 54 years old. Veronica was born to parents Leroy and Joan Harris in Albany, NY. Veronica attended Albany Academy for Girls in Albany, NY, and Mount Holyoke College in So. Hadley, MA. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. Veronica lived in Albany, NY, Boston, MA, and Atlanta, GA before attending the University of Maryland to pursue a Master's in Sociology. She then moved to Tampa, FL to be closer to her mother, Joan. Veronica was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Harris. Veronica is mourned by her mother Joan, aunts, uncles, many cousins, and countless friends. Veronica will be remembered for her infectious smile, kindness, and generosity. Always ready to help others, Veronica always made others feel they could reach out to her and talk. She was a very good friend who faithfully kept in touch with friends all through her life. Her intelligence, friendship, and amazing memory will be remembered and treasured, as well as her keen wit, love of movies and television shows, and her willingness to discuss anything under the sun. Veronica will be dearly missed by all. Many shared stories and remembrances will forever keep her memory alive. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Hospital.
