Gary Edward Fredrick

On Saturday, June 24, 2023, Gary Edward Fredrick age 72 passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home. Gary was born on May 10, 1951 in Marburg, Germany and raised by his parents, Edward Fredrick and Marie Krimmel Fredrick. He grew up in Jersey City, NJ with his two brothers, Peter and David. Gary was a devoted husband to his wife Zobieda (Zoby). This year would mark their 50th wedding anniversary. Together, they bought their first home in New Milford, NJ where they raised their two children. Later, they would retire to Clearwater, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife Zoby. His son Mark Fredrick and his wife Jessica and their three children, Mark, Matthew and Michael. His daughter Melissa Fernandes and her husband Sanjay and their two children Joseph and Penelope. Gary’s career started in the printing industry in New York City. In the early 1990’s, he chose to seek a new profession, becoming a successful independent Graphic Design Artist. In addition to being creative, he was an intellectual thinker and an avid reader. He loved to learn and would discuss any topic, sharing his vast knowledge. He had a deep affection for music, all genres. He was a collector of rare coins, unique knives and fragrances. He loved to laugh and always had a joke to share. He found joy in dogs, owning several throughout his life. Most of all, Gary was a proud father and grandfather. He doted on his family, especially his five grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Gone too soon, he will be missed deeply by those who loved him.
