August 13th, 1951 - September 20th, 2019
Johnson, Nola JoAnn "J.J.", 68, departed this world for heaven on Friday (September 20, 2019) of natural causes. She was a lifelong resident of Tampa and loving mother of two sons. JoAnn was born on August 13, 1951 in Tampa, FL to Francis and Wanda (Lane) Park. JoAnn, who was also known to others by nicknames such as "J.J.", "Jo Jo", "Ms. J" and "Momma", was a sweet good-hearted artistic free spirit. She enjoyed her freedom and independence. She was a frequent traveler, who loved to visit South Tampa, where she grew up and graduated from Robinson High School in 1969 before spending 12 years as a military wife to David Nordstrom. Her favorite hangouts included the Britton Plaza area, where she always appreciated the love, friendship, kindness, generosity and company of others. JoAnn was preceded in death by her father, Francis and her mother, Wanda, and brothers, Gary and Dale Park, and sister, Karen Smith. She is survived by her two sons, Glenn and Scott Nordstrom, granddaughter, Julia Nordstrom, her brothers, Arthur and David Park, sisters, Eileen Loar and Kathy Green, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews, all whom loved her dearly and will miss her very much. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 27 at the American Legion in Port Tampa, located at 5535 W Prescott St, Tampa, FL 33616. The ceremony will be followed by a potluck dinner. In lieu of flowers, memorial service contributions will be accepted at the ceremony.
