Raymond Edward Snyder
April 24th, 1958 - May 5th, 2012
Raymond Edward Snyder, 54, of Palm Bay, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was born on April 24, 1958 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He moved with his family to Melbourne, Florida in 1968 and spent the remainder of his life in Brevard County. Ray spent most of his life working as a plumber. He worked for Ray Tester Plumbing for eight years and then Atlantic Plumbing since 1988. He enjoyed Nascar, fishing, gardening and enjoyed playing golf with his brother-in-law Jim. He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Every year he attended the Daytona 500 with his father-in-law Jack and various other family and friends. Ray was a true rebel. Those who really knew him loved him for his kind heart and honesty. He was a true and devoted friend and because of that, his friendships survived his lifetime. Ray is survived by his wife of almost 28 years, Debbie; his sons and their families; Marshall and Bobbie and their children Daunte, Taylor and Blake; Austin and Alysha and their son Devin; all of Palm Bay; parents Roy and Shirley Clark of Melbourne; sisters Norman Jean (Charles) Scrivner of Mississippi; Cathy Snyder of New York; Mary Snyder of Altamonte Springs; Beth (Sean) Nimmo of Melbourne; brothers Bill (Danielle) Snyder of Melbourne; David (Connie) Snyder of Alabama; Kenny (Anita) Clark of Lakeland; father-in-law Jack Smith of Satellite beach; sister-in-laws Robin (Jim) Stastny of Maryland; Tammy Blout of West Melbourne; Bambi Easterling of Palm Bay; 24 nieces and nephews and 5 grand-nieces and nephews. Debbie, Marshall and Austin would like to thank their loyal family and friends who loved and supported him through his long courageous battle with cancer, We would also like to thank Dr. Chandra, Dr. Duhaime, Melissa Studebaker, ARNP and their entire staff for their love and support as Ray fought the battle of his life. We would also like to thank Health First Hospice for the kindness they showed Ray and his family. A celebration of Ray's life will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Beach Funeral Home - East Chapel, 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach from 4:00 to 6:00 pm ending with a memorial service. Please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Ray to Health First Hospice, 1830 Seagrape Street Northeast Palm Bay, FL 32905, or to any charitable organization of your choice that supports cancer research. Ray will be missed by all that knew him, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever. Go Steelers!
