John F. Bergen
May 21st, 1947 - August 26th, 2022
Tribute John F Bergen was born in Trenton, NJ on May 21st, 1947, to Kathleen and “Sam” Bergen. He was married 45 years to Nancy Bergen and had two sons, Matt and Joey. He joined the Air Force in 1966 and was stationed in Germany for four years. He then worked 30 years as a security contractor for the Department of Defense based out of Las Vegas, NV and retired in 2015 to move closer to family in Colorado. Friends called him the “Lawn Ranger” due to his lifetime pursuit of meticulously cultivating a lawn that met his exacting standards. He also loved fishing, though he rarely caught anything, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and his son Joey. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sister, Linda Shipman (Tracy Shipman); Nieces, Kristin and Stacy; son Matt (Sam Bergen); Grandsons Joe, Colin, and Zach; family members Joe and Pat Stracka; and many friends.
